In theory...

Photography is a simple thing. Someone picks up a camera. Someone chooses a subject or object. Someone locates the subject or object in their camera lens. Someone clicks a button. Someone captures a moment.

But theory is often tested. Pushed. Debated. And photography is no different. What some call innovative, others call worthless. What some call conceptual, others call senseless. What some call artistic, others call smut.

To us, the bottom line is that there are lots of people out there who really enjoy taking photographs of all types, kinds, and subject matter; AND their are lots of people out there who enjoying having their photographs taken. Whether they're just hams, flirts, exhibisitionists, or whatever, they just enjoy being in the camera's eye.

Dallas Photo Club was conceived to bring together the photographer and the subject. Those who like to take pictures. And those who like to have their pictures taken. Without judgement as to what either subject does is acceptable, socially conscious, 'in proper pursuit of the art', or whatever. If you see someone here who you think matches up with what you like, then it works.
